The General Directorate of Traffic has presented the 2021 road accident balance sheet, referring to accidents occurring on interurban roads with fatalities at the time of the accident or in the following 24 hours. This balance indicates that the positive trend in the reduction of the accident rate that has been occurring over the last decade continues.
Once again this year, the bus is the means of transport with the lowest accident rate and is confirmed as the safest means of transport.
